He was born in 1973 in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and currently lives in São Paulo. Among his nine novels is Diary of the Fall, translated to eleven languages, which won the Jewish Quarterly Prize in England. He was included in the "Best of Young Brazilian Novels" edition of Granta Magazine.
