A feature writer, journalist, and author of biographical books, Marek Sterlingow worked as a journalist for Gazeta Wyborcza and Radio Gdańsk. He was the first journalist to report on the disappearance of Iwona Wieczorek, and he also identified the most likely cause of it. Sterlingow also served as a war correspondent in Afghanistan, where he reported on the Nangar Khel tragedy, among other events. Together with Dorota Karaś, he co-authored biographies of Anna Walentynowicz and Jerzy Urban, and this year published an extensive interview with Małgorzata Szejnert.
