Singer, songwriter and composer who was born in Zabrze. She won the main prize at the Young Talent Festival in Poznań in 1988 and made her debut as Anka in the musical Metro at the Dramatic Theatre in 1991. At the Actor’s Song Review (PPA) in 1997, she won the Grand Prix, First Prize and the Journalists’ Award for singing Marian Hemar’s ‘Zdemaskowane piosenki’ and Jacques Brel’s ‘Amsterdam’. In 2008, she received the Aleksander Bardini Award in recognition of her outstanding artistic achievements in the field of actor’s song. In 2023, she debuted as the author of the novel Kundle, published by Nisza. She won the 2024 Fryderyk Award in the Literary and Poetic Song category for Konstelacje, a phenomenal work full of emotion and depth produced by Warner Music/Adapter. For her debut novel Kundle, she was nominated for three awards: the Gdynia Literary Award, the Witold Gombrowicz Award and the Conrad Award. She received the Witold Gombrowicz Special Award for Kundle in the form of a one-month residency in Vence.
