She is a writer, playwright and screenwriter. She is the author of five novels ( Przypadek Alicji, Bura i szał, Sorge, Grzybnia and Syreny mają ości) and a short story collection, Kijanki i kretowiska. She has been nominated for the Gdynia Literary Award, the Conrad Award, and the Witold Gombrowicz Literary Award. She has received the Adam Włodek Award and the Młoda Polska (Young Poland) scholarship, as well as creative scholarships from the City of Krakow. Her plays have been staged at the Stary National Theatre in Krakow, the Baj Theatre, and the Puppet and Actor Theatre in Wałbrzych, to name a few. She participated in the Ekran+ international programme at the Wajda School, and she is also the author of film scripts and radio plays. She has completed a literary residency in Quebec.
