She is a playwright and novelist. She is a graduate of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University. Her works include the play Żywot i śmierć pana Hersha Libkina z Sacramento w stanie Kalifornia and the novels Toń and Wyrok. She has received scholarships from the Kraków UNESCO City of Literature, the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw, the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin, and the Swiss Landis & Gyr Stiftung, to name a few. She has been nominated for the Paszporty Polityki Award, the Nike Award, the Conrad Award, and the international Grand Continent Award, among others. She won the Wawrzyn Literary Award of Warmia and Mazury. Her plays and essays have been published in Dialog, her prose in Miesięcznik Znak, and her essays and columns in Dialog, Czas Literatury, Polityka, and Machina Myśli. She co-authored the adaptation of The Knights of the Cross, directed by Jan Klata at the Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn. Her plays have been staged at the Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk, the Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Toruń, the Stefan Żeromski Theatre in Kielce, and the Theater Konstanz in Germany.
