She is a reporter and she he has published, among others, in Gazeta Wyborcza, Polityka, National Geographic, the Pismo magazine and the Karta quarterly. She is the author of the book Bieżeństwo 1915. Zapomniani uchodźcy, which was honoured with the Wiesław Kazanecki Literary Award and the title of the Book of the Year of the Warsaw Literary Premiere Award. She has also been nominated for the Ryszard Kapuściński Award, the Literary Award of the Capital City of Warsaw, the Polityka weekly Historical Award and the Kazimierz Moczarski Historical Award. She is the co-author of the collections of reportages Białoruś. Ojczyzna dobrej jakości and Ludowa historia kobiet. She has contributed to the creation of the Copernicus Science Centre. She runs her own website biezenstwo.pl.
