A cultural studies graduate with a specialisation in audiovisual studies, she has also completed postgraduate Gedanist and Scandinavian studies. She is head of the Promotion and Communication Department at the City Culture Institute in Gdańsk and has been involved with various Pomeranian institutions for several years. She hosts and moderates debates and author meetings. A passionate sociocultural animator, she organises cultural events related to the literature, film and theatre of the Baltic region on both local and international scale. Joanna is also an enthusiast of the Norwegian language, book illustration and animated short films.
