Poet, essayist, translator, and literary scholar. Co-founder and researcher at the Avant-garde Research Centre at Jagiellonian University, as well as a collaborator with the Centre for Translation Studies at the same institution. Author of dozens of books, including poetry collections, essay volumes, and academic monographs on the avant-garde. Editor of publishing series, journals, and anthologies. He translates and co-translates from French, Romanian, and Serbian, including works by Gherasim Luca, Henri Michaux, Gellu Naum, Miroljub Todorović, Dumitru Crudu, and Claudiu Komartin. His most recent translation is Warglify (French: Warglyphes) by Perrine Le Querrec (2025). Winner of the Wisława Szymborska Award for his collection of prose poems Drożdżownia (2015) and the Znaczenia Literary Award for his Kraków-themed cycling essays Premie górskie najwyższej kategorii (2020). His translation work has been nominated for the European Poet of Freedom Award and the Gdynia Literary Prize, among others. Since 2024, he has been a jury member for the latter. He lives in Kraków.
