She is an art historian by training who did not follow the usual path into a career in a museum. In 2019, she co-authored A co wyście myślały? Spotkania z Kobietami z Mazowieckich Wsi with Agnieszka Pajączkowska. In 2021, she published her debut solo book, Mireczek, a story about her alcoholic father. This earned her the Empik Discovery Award for Best Debut of the Year and nominations for both the Nike Literary Award and the Witold Gombrowicz Literary Prize.
