He is a director and theatre scholar. He graduated from the Faculty of Directing and Dramaturgy at the National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków. He also completed Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities at Jagiellonian University and studied French literature at the Université Paris Sorbonne. Fryzeł has directed Ingmar Bergman’s Winter Light (Nowy Teatr in Warsaw), Jerzy Andrzejewski’s The Inquisitors (Wybrzeże Theatre in Gdańsk), Annie Ernaux’s The Years (Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn), and Herman Melville’s Bartleby the Scrivener (Łaźnia Nowa Theatre in Kraków).
