She is the author of the acclaimed novels: Mykwa, Krótka wymiana ognia, Dr. Josef's Little Beauty and Tkanki miękkie, as well as Ten się śmieje, kto ma zęby. She is the winner of several literary awards, including the Nike Literary Award, the Gdynia Literary Award, the Adam Mickiewicz Literary Award in Poznań, the Literary Award of the Capital City of Warsaw twice, and the Gryfia Literary Award.
