Who Jumps Highest,
or Why Comparisons
Don’t Make Sense
Pärt ei oska saltot - a book by Anti Saar (Polish transl. Anna Michalczuk-Podlecki) will be read by Magdalena Bednarek, a Miniature Theatre actor.
The reading will be followed by a workshop inspired by the book.
- How to Deal with Emotions Triggered by Rivalry – workshop for adults | host: Joanna Trzaska (psychologist, psychotherapist)
- Best, Average, Worst – What's All This About? – workshop for children | host: Izabela Banaszczyk (child psychologist, Creative Pedagogy) | Goyki Park
We all like to be the best, but how do we deal with our emotions when someone else jumps higher? Mati, the seven-year-old protagonist of the Estonian Anti Saar's book, can't jump on the trampoline as well as his friend Kaisa. Is the only solution in such a situation to plot bloody revenge? Psychologist and psychotherapist Joanna Trzaska and Izabela Banaszczyk, a child psychologist and one of the leaders of the Creative Pedagogy program, will reflect on why comparisons are a curse and how to appreciate one's worth with the workshop participants.
