A journalist in the culture section of Wyborcza, he writes about literature.  He was born and raised in the Wałbrzych area, which often turns out to be important in his biography. He has worked in the book market for over 15 years - as the co-founder of an online bookshop and two publishing houses. He has worked, among others, for Prószyński i s-ka Publishing House and Dowody Publishing House, where he published the book Panna doktór Sadowska. He translates and edits books (including Fun Home by Alison Bechdel). He runs the blog Zdaniem Szota, where he publishes reviews.
