He is the\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 author of nine poetry collections, including his most recent works: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sandu\u00edche de Anz\u00f3is<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Rio\u00a0 \u00a0 de Janeiro, Alfaguara, 2025), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luz dos monstros<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (S\u00e3o Paulo, Aboio, 2022), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se o mundo \u00e9 \u00a0 <\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">redondo e outros poemas<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Lisbon, Gato Bravo, 2020), and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Garopaba Monstro Tubar\u00e3o<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (S\u00e3o <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paulo, Selo Dem\u00f4nio Negro, 2019). His 2014 collection, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mesmo sem dinheiro comprei um\u00a0 <\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">esqueite novo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (S\u00e3o Paulo, Companhia das Letras), was honored with the APCA Prize from\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the S\u00e3o Paulo Association of Art Critics. In addition to his poetry, Scott has published six prose books. Notable among them is the short story collection <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ainda orangotangos<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Porto Alegre, Livros do Mal, 2003; republished by Editora Bertrand Brasil, 2007), which was adapted into a feature film by director Gustavo Spolidoro and won at the 13th Milan Film Festival. His novel <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nowhere People<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (S\u00e3o Paulo, Alfaguara, 2011) won the 2012 Machado de Assis Prize from the National Library Foundation and has been published in Germany, Portugal, England, the United States, Croatia, and various Arab countries. His subsequent novels include <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O ano em que vivi de literatura<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Rio de Janeiro, Editora Foz, 2015), winner of the 2016 A\u00e7orianos Literature Prize, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phenotypes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (S\u00e3o Paulo, Alfaguara, 2019). The latter received the 2020 A\u00e7orianos Prize for Literature and the 2023 Jabuti Prize for Brazilian Book Published Abroad, and was also longlisted for the International Booker Prize. Scott also writes plays and screenplays, contributing regularly to magazines, newspapers, and cultural supplements both in Brazil and internationally. His work has been published in Portugal, Greece, Italy, San Marino, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Croatia, Poland, China, Mexico, Argentina, the United States, and several Arab countries. He has participated in literary residencies and projects in China and Australia, and is currently researching his upcoming novel, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barqueiro Rondon\u00f3polis<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">pic.
