Born in Salvador in 1979, he holds a doctorate in Ethnic and African Studies, and is the author of the story collection, <em>Doramar ou a odisseia<\/em>, the children\u2019s book <em>Chupim<\/em>, the novels <em>Coracao sem medo<\/em>, <em>Salvar o fogo<\/em> and <em>Torto arado<\/em>, the latter being one of the greatest successes, both critically and commercially, of Brazilian literature in recent decades, and has been translated into more than thirty languages.<\/p>\n<p>pic.
